History

Cumbria Open for Business was developed in the wake of the Foot and Mouth epidemic, principally to enable a ‘web presence’ for any business (large or small), community groups, sole traders, in fact anyone who feels that it may be beneficial to advertise the fact that they are still ‘open for business’.

We have since progressed from that stage by helping over 150 small businesses by to being able to provide a one stop facility for all internet marketing and ecommerce requirements at an affordable price and without any without any complicated IT knowledge, or in fact if necessary, without the need for any computer or equipment. We do not know of anyone offering these facilities in Cumbria today, especially targeted at small rural businesses that in reality have more need of them than anyone else.
